Dining Room (Take 2)

Painting….
Juhree and I have been painting all week. We started Sunday with our living room and have made our way to our entry way and hallway. We chose to paint the LR using a color washing technique. We took three colors and blended them all together to create the effect that you see below. We are using the same colors and technique on the hallways as well. In doing so, we decided to repaint our dining room and kitchen colors that fit into the same color family of the LR & hallways. With Thanksgiving rapidly approaching and family members coming to see our house for the first time, we are working hard to whip everything into shape for a good first impression.
I will post more pictures when we finish and get some wall decor up.

Duke’s First of the Month Weight: 85 lbs. He’s tall enough to rest his head on our kitchen table and not too far from being able to rest it on our kitchen counters. He had his neutering procedure done last Thursday. I stayed home with him on Friday to make sure that he didn’t try and pull out the stitches. It took about a day and a half for him to get back to his normal self. I know, I know, poor guy. Trust me he’s fine, and he’ll never know the difference.
I spent 4 days last week in Phoenix. I was there on a business trip and got the opportunity to play some golf and see 2 of my buddies from high school. We played golf, had dinner, and got caught up. It was good to see them again and I was happy to see that they were doing so well.
Juhree had a good turn out at her Southern Living party last week. She qualified to get a few items for free and a couple of other items half off (which comes in handy now that we are making a push to get our house furnished and decorated).
Pictures of Duke to come.
