A weekend at the farm & some pictures of the house.
First off, here is a picture of Dodger, Duke’s daddy. When Duke is full grown he will look very similiar to Dodger.
Dodger

Duke got to see his Granny and Grandpa Jones this weekend. He had a great time sniffing and seeing all of the different things around the farm. He warmed right up to them and made a good first impression.
Here is a picture to measure his size and will compare it to the next visit. He is growing like a weed. He has an appointment this Friday to get his 10 week shots and we are curious to see how much weight he’s gained in just two weeks.

And last, here are a couple of pictures of our house.

Juhree and I took Duke to the vet on Friday to have a check up and the vet said that he is healthy young puppy. He was weighed at the vet and now weighs 16.1 lbs. Over the past couple of days his favorite things to do are sleep, chew on his toys and sleep some more. Click here for more pictures of Duke.

He found a comfortable spot to snooze on Juhree’s leg.

The new member of our family. His name is Duke. He is a 7 week old Harlequin Great Dane. Juhree and I came home with him this evening. He is 14 lbs and very affectionate. When we went to pick him out, he crawled into our laps immediately and started snuggling. It was easy to tell that he liked us and wanted to go home with us. We had our choice of a few different colors of Great Danes including a female that would qualify more as show dog, but we bonded with the puppy that had the abnormal markings. His dad is a 175 lb Harlequin Great Dane named Dodger. The name Duke came from the Dodgers AAA ball club in Albuquerque called the Dukes. Since the father of this dog is named Dodger, we chose to name his son Duke.

We are home owners. We closed last Wednesday and moved our stuff over Memorial Day weekend. I will post up some pictures once we have our boxes put away and have everything situated.
