2 weeks down 14 weeks to go until this semester is over. Everything is going really well so far. This semester is going to entail a lot of work, but i expect to learn alot. I am taking IT Management, Information Security, Ecommerce, Systems Analysis and Database Design II, and Networking. In my IT Management course we take an in-depth look at running and managing an IT organization. In Information Security we are learning how to protect against hackers by creating and using our own viruses, worms and trojans. Don’t worry we do this in a contolled environment. We are going to create an Ecommerce site for a local Chamber of Commerce as a group project in my Ecommerce class. I’m looking forward to this project because I think we have the best team in the class and the team with the best site wins $500.00. In Systems Analysis and Database Design we are given a mock business where we start from scratch to build and implement a computer system using Oracle. In the Networking class we will create a logical design of a network.
On top of that I have papers to write every week and tests scattered throughout the semester. Wish me luck.
