Getting Shot At
At about 9am CST. One of the accountants in my office was setting at his desk on the 6th floor of our office building in North Dallas (Preston and Frankford)when he hears a *snap* behind him. When he turns around he sees the window behind him cracking. So he gets up and out of his office. Luckily the specific window that was shot was a double paned window designed to protect people from low powered ammunition in addition to rocks, hail etc…1 window over from his , in another accountant’s office, there is a glass window designed to crumble for firefighters (hence, it wouldn’t stop a bullet). We later found out that there were 4 other broken windows caused by bullets on the south side of the building. My guess is, some teenager was screwing around with a .22 caliber rifle, shooting at random things for the fun of it. The cops came in and looked around the neighborhoods surrounding the building. I don’t know if they found anyone.

What a deal, today i went into my local Office Max to replace my printer. I found the printer/scanner/copier that i wanted and started to talk to the salesperson. He informed me that this particular P/S/C was a component in a digital camera and printer package deal along with a 64mb memory card and some photo paper. At first i was not interested in the deal until he told me that the price of the package was the same as the price of the P/S/C. The package consisted of a Canon A300 3.2 mp digital camera (retail $199), a HP 1350 Printer/scanner/copier(retail $149), a 64 mb compact flash memory card (retail $39), and photo paper($10). So i got the whole package for $149.

Finally the semester is over. Now I have three weeks off and it feels great. I haven’t had this much time off from school since we moved to dallas a year and a half ago. I’ve been going to school taking back to back semesters with 2-7 days in between ever since. In that time i’ve accomplished alot. I have taken 22 classes in a year and half. 8 more to go to graduate. 5 of the hardest classes to come in the spring, and then 3 business core classes to knock out by july 1st. Then graduation in August!
